Why Windows and your browser show a warning
Hope isn't signed by a paid commercial certificate authority yet, so Windows SmartScreen and some browsers flag it as "unrecognized" the first time. This is normal for small independent apps — it doesn't mean anything is wrong with the file. Follow the steps below once, and you won't see it again after install.
1. If your browser blocks the download
Chrome / Edge
Click the small arrow next to the blocked download at the bottom of the window, choose Keep (or Keep anyway on the "Unverified" dialog).
Firefox
Click Keep if a warning appears in the downloads panel.
2. Install
Unzip the download
Right-click the downloaded hope-setup.zip → Extract All.
Run the installer
Open the extracted folder and double-click Install-Hope.bat.
If SmartScreen appears
Click More info, then Run anyway. This is the same one-time step every unsigned Windows app needs.
Allow admin access if asked
The installer needs this once to install into Program Files and register Hope properly — this is what lets the overlay float above other apps.
Open Hope
A shortcut appears on your desktop. Launch it, then sign in with the account you created on this site — or use it free for a 1-minute session.
