What we collect

When you create a Hope account, we store your email address, the username and password you choose (passwords are stored as salted one-way hashes, never in plain text), and records of your purchases and active plan.

What we don't collect

Hope's desktop app does not read, store, or transmit the content of your notes or your AI chat conversations to our servers. The app only talks to our backend to check whether your account has an active plan, and to let you sign in.

Payment data

Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details — only the payment status and amount Razorpay reports back to us.

How we use your data

Your email is used to send a one-time verification code at signup and for account-related notices. Your account data is used to enforce plan access and to let you manage your subscription from the dashboard.

Data retention

We keep account and purchase records for as long as your account exists, or as required by law for financial records.

Contact us to request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to the financial record-keeping requirements above.
